ULTRASOUND EXAMINATIONS

Abdominal ultrasound

Ultrasound of the abdomen is a non-invasive imaging method that provides insight into the organs and blood vessels in the abdomen (pancreas, liver, gallbladder, spleen, aorta). It also provides insight into the organs of the urinary tract kidneys, bladder, in men and prostate. Pathological changes that can be observed with ultrasound are: organ enlargement; gallstones and kidney stones; tumor and other focal changes on organs (cysts,
hemangiomas, adrenal adenoma).

You should come to the test on an empty stomach, if the test is in the afternoon then you can eat lighter food (cereals, toast…) early in the morning.

Breast ultrasound

Breast ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging method that gives us an insight into the structure of glandular tissue. It serves us to diagnose or suspect benign and malignant breast diseases. The method is painless and not harmful.

No special preparation is required for the examination.

Thyroid ultrasound

Thyroid ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging method that gives us an insight into the appearance and changes in the size and structure of the thyroid parenchyma.  Examination reveals changes such as cysts, nodules (which must be monitored, often a cytological puncture must be performed), inflammation, tumors. The search is painless and not harmful.

No special preparation is required for the examination.

Ultrasound of the kidneys

Ultrasound + Echocardiogram

Ultrasound + Echocardiogram is a non-invasive imaging method that gives us an insight into the structure of the heart, the dimensions of the heart and large blood vessels, the function of the heart valves and damage to the heart muscle. This test is very important for diagnosing various heart diseases, especially heart defects, as well as for their monitoring and treatment.

No special preparation is required for the examination.

Ultrasound + Carotid and vertebral artery doppler ultrasound

Ultrasound + Carotid and vertebral artery doppler ultrasound is a non-invasive method that provides insight into the condition of the arteries that supply blood to the brain. The test provides insight into the degree of  changes in the walls of blood vessels (atherosclerosis) and helps assess the risk of stroke and heart attack. The method is very useful in elucidating the causes of dizziness, headaches, tinnitus and memory disorders.

No special preparation is required for the examination.

TCD WB sliva

Ultrasound assessment of lower extremity arteries (+CD) Arterial Duplex Ultrasound

Ultrasound assessment of lower extremity arteries (+CD) Arterial Duplex Ultrasound is a non-invasive method that provides insight into the flow of the structure of the leg arteries. The examination is indicated for the pain in the leg muscles when walking or changes in the color and temperature of the extremities, which may indicate narrowing or clogging of the artery. It also serves in the assessment of cardiovascular risk.

It is good to come to the examination in more comfortable clothes.

Ultrasound assessment of lower extremity veins (+CD) Venous Duplex Ultrasound

Ultrasound assessment of lower extremity veins (+CD) Venous Duplex Ultrasound is a non-invasive method that provides insight into the anatomical appearance of the venous system consisting of a deep and superficial  system. This test most often diagnoses varicose veins, venous thrombosis (superficial or deep system) and determines the degree of insufficiency (impaired venous flow).

It is good to come to the examination in more comfortable clothes.
